| "Heliopolis" and "Masr El Gedida" meaning new Egypt
are two names said on reference to Cairo's largest neighborhood. The neighborhood
formally referred to as "The Oasis" was built in 1906 nine
kilometers north of Cairo City center. Heliopolis was built by the
Belgian Baron Empain who also built the Basilique church and "Hindu
folly" referring to the beautiful palace on the airport road also referred
to as "Kasr El Baron" or the haunted "Kasr El Baron". |

Like the rest of the outer parts of Cairo the land where Heliopolis
lies was a desert with no habitats and absolutely no services or anything
of the sort.. |

whereabouts:
Heliopolis is located on the northeast tip of
the great city of Cairo, or better said Heliopolis occupies the north
east of Cairo. |

We cannot describe Heliopolis as empty or crowded or anything
of the sort because it contains all descriptions. Heliopolis is like a
small city it even has ring roads and bridges .. |

As mentioned before Heliopolis
has a multicultural approach to it and that has a reflection on the lifestyle
of the people residing and working within its buildings.. |

Renting in Heliopolis:
Heliopolis is counted amongst Cairo's
higher-class neighborhoods and is of course on Cairo's more expensive
price list...
